All communication with the king and chiefs will go through an Okyeame. They must be good speakers and have much knowledge about the social and political system. The okyeame carries a Okyeame poma staff as a symbol of his authority to speak.
The aminikpo association also manages a series of articulated jointed puppets (often twelve in number) with which they perform a complex marionette theater (called Naabiradee) on the occasion of various festivities in front of the assembled village community.
