The sofa ND82 and matching armchair ND83 designed Nanna Ditzel together with her husband Jørgen Ditzel in 1952. Today its produced by Snedkergarden in Denmark.The model stands at the Sydney Opera House and at the Design Hotel The Standard in New York.

Danish designer Nanna Ditzel is one of the few women who influenced the design of the 1950s and 1960s. Until her old age, she designed numerous pieces of furniture that are now considered design classics. She became famous above all for her seating egg as well as for her textile designs such as the Hallingdal fabric by Kvadrat.
