Each piece of Trissen is handcrafted by skilled cabinetmakers and stands as a beautiful example of Nanna Ditzel's organic style and her understanding of Danish furniture tradition.
Originally, Nanna Ditzel developed the Trissen series (after the Danish name for a weaving spool) as children's furniture in 1962. Her basic idea was that children do not sit still for two minutes. That's why she developed the playable stool - as a small piece of furniture that can be quickly moved and turned, or - if there are several stools - stacked.
The Dane Nanna Ditzel is one of the few women who shaped the design of the 1950s and 1960s. Until old age, she designed numerous pieces of furniture that are now design classics. Also famous are her textile designs such as the fabric Hallingdal by Kvadrat
